David Peck's Yanmar 1GM10 Diesel Inboard Installation

David Peck is undertaking probably one of the largest modification projects of a Cape Cutter 19 (Hull 94 "Whistling Rufus"), the installation of a Yanmar 1GM10 inboard diesel engine. This is to replace the standard outboard which sits in a well in the cockpit, hence this dedicated page to David's undertaking. This section provides overviews of this project and includes a photographic journal.

David has much experience of installing marine diesel engines in several boats he has owned previously- this is not an undertaking for the light hearted. David has completed calculations regarding re ballasting of the hull to achieve this installation. He researched the project thoroughly before commencement.

Thanks goes to David Peck for permission to publish this information on the Association Site.
